MESSAGE TO ADULTS: Burn injuries concern the whole family; most are preventable. Even young children can prevent burn injuries if they learn to RECOGNIZE burn hazards and how to BEHAVE around them. Together conduct a HAZARD HUNT in your home and encourage your child to think of ways to correct any hazards found.
Discuss the home hazards as shown here. Tell the children the appropriate behavior around hot objects, open flames, etc., so they don't get burned. |
